Congestion Levy For Cbd Residents

Its important to know that for CBD residents in some cities, the home owner is required to pay a congestion levy or parking levy whilst they rent out their parking space. It applies to non residential off-street private and public car parking spaces and it supposed to reduce traffic congestion in the city CBDs and encourage motorists to regularly use public transport.

Some examples of the cities and the amounts where the congestion is currently charged include:

Sydney CBD $2310 per space per year.
